Void Cube

~5cm / 2 inch diameter

I made this puzzle in 2009 at a time when I was transforming just about everything into a ball shape. It was not possible just to cut it down so it was a bit more complicated to make than some of my previous spheres. As usual it was all done by hand without the use of rapid prototyping though moulds and casting was used.
For stickers I used high quality Skewb style instead of the common Rubik's Cube type. Rotational movement is pretty good and I am pleased with the general quality.
The bottom photo shows Erno Rubik handling my void ball at the 2009 Dutch cube Day.
