When the MoYu 13x13x13 first came out most people assumed I would make a ball and some seemed pretty certain. Far more certain than me because I thought it would be best to wait for the 15x15x15. This is because a 13x13x13 Ball is slightly less of an achievement than a Petaminx ball which I had already made. Less meaning number of modified parts required. After several months though I realised that it was not going to be possible not to make one. The yearning was simply to strong, I needed my big puzzle ball fix. So just a few weeks before DCD I decided I had to make one plus I had to get it finished in time for the event. Unfortunately this meant a last minute rush for Oliver to make me a set of his as usual outstanding stickers. Like a trooper he came through and I was able to present the puzzle at Cube Day. As usual I shaped it by hand using a Dremel, hack saw and sand paper. My 11x11x11 and Petaminx Balls were big gambles since I wasn't 100% sure they would work. This one though was a certainty since the 13x13x13 cube is so well made and very sturdy.
